Checked in at 3:30 in the afternoon to find out there was no water. Called front desk and was told it was a city issue. Left hotel and came back at 10:30 p.m. - only to find there was a trickle of water, barely enough to brush our teeth. My kids had been in the swimming pool and couldn't wash off the choline. Called front desk again, this time was told there was a boiler issue. Next morning, there was water - plenty of cold water for everyone! Received bill under the door - charged $* more than what I booked it for on Travel online. Go to front desk to complain, but the clerk wasn't in a position to make adjustments. Finally got a call back that my bill would be adjusted $*. Whoope T Dooo! Drove back home 2.5 hours so I could get a shower. Should not have been charged.

The room was great and clean. We went to a concert at the Tyson event center and it was close enough for us to walk there and back. I was very please with the room.

It was a long walk to the room - it is a long walk to all the rooms and exterior doors are not close to parking. Other reviews have stated this as well as pointed out that there is no service to take your bags to your room. When I told the front desk that the room was not the type that I had booked - I was told all the rooms were reserved for the night (this was 6pm) and that they would not change rooms. As a platinum member of Priority Club I was disappointed with the response. The front desk attendant did call their sister property and was able to find me a room there for $80 more than what I was paying. I decided against paying almost $200 for the night. Maybe I should have. After making the long walk back to the room I discovered that the room would not have passed a supervisors inspection for cleaning. The shower/tub was so dirty that I refused to take a shower.
The exterior entrance was supposed to require a key but this was not working.
After this experience I would recommend to others that there are better lodging options close by (there are 8 other motels with in 3/4 of a mile). -
